Black jetty canvey

Here are some pics of me and my brother in law fishing the black jetty in canvey .

Tilbury wall 15/06/08

Me and my brother in law went fishing the everning tide which was a 5.7 , We had king rag and blueys for bait, I had one rod at distance 75/100 yards and one rod clo0se in at around 30 yards,The distance rod didnt do anything at all but the close in rod was very active with about 7 bites , 3 very good ones but for some reason i could not connect with any of them , The best bait of the day was the rag . My brother in law didnt even a have a bite ! hehe

Grays wharf 7/6/08

Me and my girlfriend went to grays wharf armed with rag and mackerel , it was a very hot day with no clouds or wind , fishing was very hard resulting in only two bites which where both missed .

Gray wharf 31/03/08

Went gray wharf yesterday 1700 to 2000 , Bait was lug and squid , Two rods , one at distance and one close in , Not even a bite but at least the weather was nice !

Tilbury wall 22/2

I went to tilbury wall with my brother inlaw armed with lug,rag and mackrel , I set up my 2 rods cast both and waited, After about 1 min they where both at right angles , reeled in both snagged and both lost end tackle, :( . Start again cast out and the same happened, It went on like this for about one and a half hours untill we packed and went home without catching a fish ! At least i learnt something, Never go to tilbury wall on a 6.4 tide !

Hopefully going tonight as long as the wind holds back abit !

Couldnt get any lug worm so i have postponed my trip till friday night !

Im off for another trip thursday, Wish me luck , I think i will need it !

16/2 Grays wharf

I went to grays wharf with my brother in law , Bait was lug and mackrel, 3 little bites resulting in nothing at all. O well better luck next time maybe.

15/2 Grays wharf

I went to grays wharf today with my dad and my son , We had 6 rods out with a mix of worm and fish baits, Very quite, 3 bites for me resulting in 1 flounder, My son and dad didnt have a bite, Better luck next time ! maybe

8/2 Bradwell

I went to bradwell on sea With my father and my brother in law, I brought 100 lug worm ,1 packet of mackrel and a packet of sandells, Fishing started very slow in the first 2 hours we didnt even get a bite,Then i was looking out to sea i noticed a seal pop his head out and he was swimming around our bait,about 10 mins the seal decided to swim back to sea and as soon as that happened the fish started to feed, I ended up with a small dab , 2 coddling and 1 whiting, everyone else blanked.

Grays wharf 3rd feb

Went to grays wharf early evening tide , Two rods one at distance and one close in, Wind was blowing 20-25mph southerly straight into my face, Fished around 3 hour for one bite which ended up to be a small flounder of about o.5 lb, Well lets just hope my trip to bradwell on friday goes better than this one ! :)

Black jetty 27/01/08

Hello ,
Me and my brother in law went down to the black jetty on cavney, Armed with 140 lug donated my Rocket, We fished from 8pm untill 12.30 am , I was using 3 rods and the brother in law 2 , I didnt have a bite all night but my brother in laws managed two tiny pout Well i cant catch every time now! It would be boring ! wouldnt it ?

Bradwell on sea 20th jan

Hello ,
Me and my brother in law went to bradwell behind the power station, We got there just after mid night, Set up and we where fishing by 00.30 , We had bites from the off , Resulting in 11 small codling, 8 whiting and the odd rockling, Most fish came to lug worm baits but fish bait like mackel and bluey did well aswell ! We stayed 1 hour and 30 mins after high tide and then decided to call it a day.
